Getting Your Child Support

My clients are more concerned than ever about getting or paying their child support. In the past, I have left it to them to set up their accounts after the case was over. Now with jobs being lost and income down for so many, we are helping clients more with setting up accounts and activating wage witholding orders. In Harris county, its usually as simple as filling out a focus form and activating the wage witholding order. The FOCUS form sets up the account at the Texas Disbursement Unit, and the wage witholding form causes the wgewitholding ORDER to be sent to the child suppport payor's employer.
